WCAP Detailing Inc. (“WCAP Mobile Car Detailing Halifax”, “we”, “us”) is a fully mobile detailing company serving Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, and Sackville. We collect and use personal information so we can answer inquiries, book services, and deliver on-site detailing safely.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways:
- Directly from you — when you book through our Square-powered booking page, submit a contact form on our website, reply to lead forms on Google or Meta, email info@wcapdetailing.com, or call/text (902) 536-3404.
- Automatically — basic technical information (IP address, browser type, time on page) captured by our website host and analytics tools so we can monitor performance and security.
- From service partners — updates from Square Appointments (e.g., booking status, payment confirmation) or advertising platforms when you request a quote.
The personal details we typically receive include your name, phone number, email address, service address, preferred appointment time, vehicle details, service selections, photos you choose to share, and payment information processed securely by Square. We do not intentionally collect sensitive information or children’s data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Schedule, confirm, and manage mobile detailing appointments.
- Respond to calls, texts, and emails with quotes or support.
- Send automated reminders, updates, and satisfaction follow-ups.
- Process payments through Square (cards) or verify receipt of e-transfers.
- Improve our services, website experience, and training by reviewing aggregated metrics.
- Share occasional promotions or service updates if you have opted in—unsubscribe any time.
- Comply with legal and insurance requirements, including record keeping for invoices and disputes.
4. How We Share Information
We never sell your personal information. We share data only when needed to run our business or when required by law:
- Square for booking, reminders, payment processing, and receipts.
- WordPress hosting to deliver contact form submissions securely to our inbox.
- Email, SMS, and phone providers (e.g., Google Workspace, cellular carriers) so we can answer you quickly.
- Advertising and analytics partners such as Google or Meta when you interact with our ads or when we measure campaign performance.
- Professional advisors or authorities if required to comply with laws, insurance claims, or to protect our rights.
Each provider only receives the information needed to deliver their service, and they are expected to protect it under their own privacy terms.
5. Payment & Financial Data
All card transactions are handled by Square using tokenization and encrypted payment technology. We see the last four digits of your card, your name, and the transaction amount—never your full card number or CVV. E-transfer payments contain the information you or your bank include in the transfer memo. We keep invoices and payment confirmations for business records and tax compliance.
6. Data Storage & Retention
We store digital records in secure, access-controlled systems (Square, WordPress, email archives, encrypted backups). We keep service records for as long as needed to support warranties, tax requirements, and insurance obligations—typically up to seven years. If you request deletion of optional marketing data or form submissions, we will remove it unless we must keep it for legal or contractual reasons.
7. Your Choices & Rights
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to update, correct, or delete your information.
- Opt out of marketing messages by using the unsubscribe link or replying STOP to texts.
- Disable cookies or analytics in your browser settings (site functionality may be limited).

8. Keeping Information Secure
We limit employee access to only those who need customer information to perform their duties. Devices are protected with passwords and, where possible, multi-factor authentication. While no method of transmission is 100% secure, we review our tools (Square, WordPress, hosting backups) to ensure they meet industry standards for encryption and uptime.

We will update this page whenever our technology stack, legal requirements, or business practices change. The “Effective Date” above reflects the latest revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated directly if they affect existing customers.
